Muhammad Ashraff Bin Mohd Diah graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA with the distinction of being one of the top three students for the academic year 2009/2010.

He began his legal career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General’s Chambers, where he was assigned to the Prosecution Unit of the Johor Deputy Public Prosecutor Office for nearly three years. He later opted for early retirement from the Judicial and Legal Service to pursue a career as an Advocate and Solicitor.

Ashraff has appeared in numerous high-profile cases, including representing the late Datuk Hasanah Abdul Hamid, former Chief of the Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO).

With a distinguished career spanning over 10 years in criminal law, Ashraff epitomizes excellence in legal advocacy. Armed with a formidable arsenal of legal acumen, strategic foresight, and a steadfast commitment to ethical principles, he stands as a beacon of hope for clients navigating the daunting landscape of criminal proceedings.

Muhammad Al-Hirzan Bin Dato’ Mahamad Akhir graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2010. In 2013, he earned a Master of Laws with Merit, specializing in International Maritime Law, from Swansea University in Wales, United Kingdom.

He began his legal career as a Federal Counsel at the Legal Advisor’s Office for the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Putrajaya. In this role, he provided legal advice on various issues, prepared contracts, and drafted Memorandums of Understanding between the ministry and local or international parties.

Later, he was transferred to the Prosecution Unit and appointed as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General’s Chambers. He was assigned to the Prosecution Unit of the Perak Deputy Public Prosecutor Office for nearly three years before opting for early retirement from the Judicial and Legal Service to further his studies in the United Kingdom. There, he pursued a Master of Laws program with a focus on Admiralty Law, Marine Insurance, Ship Chartering, and Marine Arbitration. His dissertation explored how Malaysian law regulates piracy activities in the Straits of Malacca.

After completing his postgraduate studies, Al-Hirzan pursued a career as an Advocate and Solicitor and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 29 June 2012. He specializes in both criminal and civil litigation, handling matters ranging from the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court.

Muhaimin Bin Aris graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree.

Muhaimin started his legal career as a Pupil-in-Chambers at Messrs. Hisham Sobri & Kadir. He was attached to the firm’s Civil Division for almost 9 months until he completed his pupillage. In 2008, Muhaimin joined the Attorney General’s Chambers as a Deputy Public Prosecutor. He was assigned to the Prosecution Unit of the Perak Deputy Public Prosecutor Office for almost 6 years before being promoted to Senior Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Selangor Deputy Public Prosecutor Office in 2013.

Muhaimin opted for early retirement from the Judicial and Legal Service in September 2013 to pursue a career as an Advocate and Solicitor. His profile includes a wide range of criminal and civil cases, spanning from matters in the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court.

Mohd Norazihan Bin Adnan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2012.

He completed his pupillage at Messrs. Salehuddin Saidin & Associates, receiving personal training from the firm’s Managing Partner, Dato’ Salehuddin Saidin. Following his pupillage, he began his legal career as an Advocate and Solicitor at Messrs. Salehuddin Saidin & Associates, where he focused on criminal defence and litigation. Norazihan has successfully defended several police officers accused of corruption offenses and has also achieved favorable outcomes for an oil and gas company’s director charged with criminal breach of trust involving RM1.1 million.

He joined this firm as a Legal Associate in July 2014 and was officially appointed as a Partner on 12 April 2017. His experience encompasses a broad range of civil and criminal litigation, from matters in the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court.

Luqman Hakim Bin Azhar graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2012 with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons).

He began his legal career as a Pupil-in-Chambers at Messrs. Salehuddin Saidin & Associates. During his pupillage, he was attached to the firm’s criminal division and gained experience in various criminal cases, including drug trafficking, murder, and commercial crime. After completing his pupillage, he joined Messrs. Fadhli Sutris & Co, a firm specializing in criminal litigation. Over the years, he handled a range of criminal matters, with extensive experience in drug trafficking cases in the Magistrate’s Court, the Sessions Court, and the High Court of Malaya.

In 2014, Luqman transitioned from private practice to the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, seeking career advancement. At the Inland Revenue Board, he was attached to the Dispute Resolution Department, where he managed various tax matters, including tax appeals before the Special Commissioner of Income Tax and the High Court of Malaya.

In March 2016, he returned to private practice by joining Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates as a Legal Associate to continue his career as a criminal litigator. Luqman was later appointed as a Partner, effective from 12 April 2017. Throughout his career, he has litigated numerous civil and criminal matters, from the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court.

Ikram graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA, with a Bachelor of Law (Hons) degree in 2013. The following year, Ikram completed his pupillage and was admitted to practice as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in March 2014.


He often appears in the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. With 10 years of experience in criminal litigation, Ikram specializes in a wide range of criminal litigation, ranging from commercial crime cases to preventive law cases.

Izwan Ariff Bin Ibrahim obtained his Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons.) in 2008 and his Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) in 2009 from Universiti Teknologi MARA. In 2010, he joined the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in Putrajaya before being transferred to Johor in June 2010. After a year, he returned to Putrajaya to serve as a Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA). Izwan spent the next five years at MOHA before being recalled to the AGC in 2016. He returned to MOHA once again in 2018.

Throughout his service in both the AGC and MOHA, Izwan was assigned to various critical positions due to his excellent performance and extensive experience. In addition to his role as a Deputy Public Prosecutor at the AGC, he was also appointed as a Special Officer to the Head of the Prosecution Unit and as an Investigating Officer at MOHA.

After nine years in public service, Izwan left government service in 2019 to pursue a career in private practice. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in the same year and subsequently joined Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates as a Partner. His profile includes a wide range of criminal cases, with a specialization in preventive crime cases.

Mohd Shahrullah Khan bin Nawab Zadah Khan graduated with a Master of Laws (Hons.) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He began his government service at the Attorney General’s Chambers as a Deputy Public Prosecutor. In 2007, he was seconded to the Anti-Corruption Agency (then known as Badan Pencegahan Rasuah), which was later renamed the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) under the MACC Act 2009. To date, he has handled over 1,000 MACC cases.

He resigned from his position as a Deputy Public Prosecutor, was called to the bar and subsequently opened his own firm. He later joined Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates, where he heads the firm’s Commercial Crime, Money Laundering & MACC Department.

Dato’ Mohammad Jazamuddin was born on the 7th of January 1963. He obtained his Advanced Diploma in Law (ADIL) in 1987 from the Institut Teknologi MARA.


In 1989, Jazamuddin joined the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC). During his time in AGC, he was attached to numerous positions such as being Assistant State Legal Advisor of Perak (1997), Director of Biro Bantuan Guaman Selangor (2004), Assistant Director of Biro Bantuan Guaman Malaysia (2004), Assistant Director of the Legal and Prosecution Division of MACC (2007), State Prosecution Director of Terengganu Legal Advisor Office (2009), and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Prime Minister’s Department (2021). He retired in 2023 and decided to join Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates as a Partner.


On 11 January 2024, Jazamuddin was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Independent Police Conduct Commission (IPCC).

Nurul Syazana Binti Hairuddin received her Bachelor of Legal Studies (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2007. She then continued her studies and obtained her Bachelor of Law (Hons) in 2008 at the same university. Nurul Syazana was retained as an associate at Messrs. Mahyudin Zainal & Puteri after completing her chambering period in the chambers of Mr. Mohd Mahyudin bin Zainal. She was admitted to the bar on the 11th of December 2009 at the High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

When she was at Messrs. Mahyudin Zainal & Puteri, she dealt mainly with Conveyancing matters and retail banking for various banks i.e. Malayan Banking Berhad, Maybank Islamic Berhad, CIMB Bank Berhad, CIMB Islamic Bank Berhad, Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad, and RHB Bank Berhad. Nurul Syazana has experience in drafting various types of legal documentations, including corporate agreements for multi-national companies. She was also attached to the Civil Litigation division of the firm. She later joined Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates, spearheading the Conveyancing and Corporate Department of the firm.

Kavitha Sitartha received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of London (External) in 2007 and her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in 2008. She also holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Malaya, which she obtained in 2003.

She was admitted to the bar in September 2009 at the High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, after completing her pupillage at Messrs. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill.

Kavitha joined the Attorney General’s Chambers in 2010 as a Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP). She was assigned to the Prosecution Unit of the Perak Deputy Public Prosecutor’s Office for nearly four years before being transferred to Tapah to manage the District Prosecution Office in 2014. During her tenure as a DPP, she handled numerous criminal cases, including drug offences, commercial crimes, and traffic offences, and also conducted appeals in the High Court.

In July 2016, Kavitha opted for early retirement from the Judicial and Legal Service to pursue a career as an Advocate and Solicitor. She joined Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates as a Legal Associate in May 2017. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of criminal cases, from Magistrate’s Court cases to High Court cases.

Since 2017, she has been an active committee member of the Bar Council’s Human Rights Committee, representing the Committee in its partnership with the ACT4CAT coalition. She is also a member of the Bar’s Committee on Orang Asli Rights.

Nasirudin Bin Mohd Nordin graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the Faculty of Law, Universiti Teknologi MARA, in 2012. Following his graduation, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in March 2013 and became actively involved in legal practice.

His profile includes a wide range of litigation matters, spanning both criminal and civil cases.

Muhamad Aizat bin Fakri commenced his tertiary education by earning a Foundation in Law from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2011, before pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the National University of Malaysia (UKM).


Upon his graduation in 2016, he embarked on his professional journey as a pupil under the tutelage of Ms Aliza Hilyati, the Managing Partner of Wan Haron & Associates. He was admitted to the bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on September 8 2017, subsequently joining Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates as a Legal Associate in 2020.


Throughout his time with the firm, Muhamad Aizat has been involved in cases up to the Federal Court, and regularly appears before the Magistrate, Sessions, and High Court for cases involving capital punishments, sexual offences, white collar crimes, drug offences, domestic violence, corruption cases, and traffic offences. Muhamad Aizat has also been actively involved in civil litigation cases in personal injury insurance claims, divorce and family laws.

Mona Anak Leonard Lubon commenced her tertiary education by earning a Diploma in Business Studies from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2015, before pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) at the same institution.


Upon her graduation in 2019, she embarked on her professional journey as a pupil under the tutelage of Mr. Muhammad Ashraff Bin Mohd Diah, the Managing Partner of Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates. She was admitted to the bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on April 16, 2021, before subsequently joining Messrs. Ashraff Al- Hirzan & Associates as a Legal Associate.


Throughout her time with the firm, Mona Anak Leonard Lubon has adeptly managed and assisted the Partners and her fellow colleagues across a spectrum of cases including general crimes, serious crimes involving capital punishments, drug-related offences, immigration cases, and sexual offences cases.

Muhammad Amirul Hakim Bin Ahmad Mahazir graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2021. He then completed his pupillage under the guidance of Mr. Izwan Ariff Bin Ibrahim and Mr. Ikram Bin Ibrahim at Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates.

After finishing his pupillage, he was admitted to the bar and elevated to Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 7 January 2022. He was subsequently retained as a Legal Associate at the firm. Amirul has appeared before the High Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court on numerous occasions.

Azlinie Binti Othman graduated with a degree in a Bachelor of Law and Syariah with Honours from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia in 2020. Due to her interest in Syariah Law, she decided to further her studies and hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah and Practice from the same university, which she obtained it in 2021.


She started her legal career as a Pupil-in-Chambers at Messrs Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates under the tutelage of Mr. Muhammad Ashraff bin Mohd Diah. She was admitted to the bar on 24 June 2022 at the High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, and was then retained as a Legal Associate at the firm. Azlinie Othman was also admitted as a Syarie Counsel of the High Court of Federal Territories in 2021.


When she was at Messrs Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates, she was exposed to various criminal cases involving sexual cases, drug trafficking, minor offences as well as immigration offences. Azlinie Othman also dealt with conveyancing matters and probate matters under the guidance of Nurul Syazana as the Head of Conveyancing and Corporate Department.

Aqmarul Aqil bin Ismail graduated his Bachelor of Law (Hons) with First Class Honours from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 2021. Owing to the unique existence of the dual system of Civil Law and Syariah Law present in Malaysia, he sought to obtain qualifications in both systems of law, and continued his study to obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Syariah and Practice in 2022 from his alma mater, UiTM.

While continuing his studies, Aqmarul Aqil underwent his pupillage under the guidance of Mr. Muhammad Al-Hirzan Bin Dato’ Mahamad Akhir of Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates. After completing his pupillage period, he was admitted to the bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on the 5th of August 2022, and was retained as a Legal Associate at Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates.

Despite only having two years’ experience as an Advocate and Solicitor, Aqmarul Aqil has been involved in cases up to the Court of Appeal, and regularly appears before the Magistrate, Sessions, and High Court for cases involving capital punishments, sexual offences, white collar crimes, drug offences, domestic violence, corruption cases, and traffic offences.

Evie Melynda Jee began her tertiary studies in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and obtained her Diploma in Public Administration in 2015. From there, she discovered her passion in law and subsequently furthered her studies, successfully obtaining a Bachelor of Law (Hons) degree from UiTM in 2021.


Evie Melynda Jee underwent her pupillage under the tutelage of the managing partner of Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates, Mr. Muhammad Ashraff Bin Mohd Diah. After completing her pupillage, she was admitted to the bar as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on August 18, 2023. She was thereafter retained as a Legal Associate by Messrs. Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates.


Throughout her days in Ashraff Al-Hirzan & Associates, Evie Melynda Jee has been entrusted with cases and matters involving capital sentences, sexual offences, narcotics offences, immigration cases, and traffic offences, despite only being in her first year of practice.
